It's Easy To Keep Busy In Bristol Harbour
Bristol Harbour is famous for many reasons. The most obvious reason is that it’s host to the annual Bristol Harbour festival, which attracts more than 200,000 people per year. This popular festival includes street performers, various types of music, and hundreds of boats sailing in and around the harbour. It’s a beautiful site and an exciting time. It’s certainly an even that should not be missed.
The Bristol Harbour festival offers great excitement, but it’s not the only thing to do in and around Bristol Harbour. If you’re visiting with family, there are a few excellent attractions. One is At-Bristol. This is a hands-on discovery museum where children will have an opportunity to be an animator, view night sky shows, and experience the Live Science Zone and Curiosity Zone. The latter will allow them to play with lights, mirrors, gyroscopes, and magnets.
The zoo is always a big hit with children. The Bristol Zoo Gardens isn’t just a zoo, but it’s also filled with beautiful gardens – hence the name. At Bristol Zoo Gardens, you will find 450 different species of animals mixed in and around 12 acres of gardens. Many zoos are too large to accomplish in one day; if you attempt to go for it, you can end up feeling drained and exhausted. The majority of zoos are also quite bland. There are simply cages lined up in a row. Bristol Zoo Gardens is nothing like that. They put a lot of emphasis on beauty and comfort. It’s also the perfect size, where you can see it all in one day without having to strain yourself.
For those who love horses, ponies, and/or donkeys, be sure to visit Horseworld. You will find rescued animals that you can pet and get to know. There are also other activities – like sac-sliding races – to keep everyone entertained at all times.
Bristol Harbour is filled with many more attractions as well. It’s a place everyone should visit at least once in their lives.
